Washington and Nevada Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This product is designed to support general wellness and encourage a healthy lifestyle. It is not intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of any disease or medical condition, has not been evaluated or cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a medical device, and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Washington’s and Nevada’s privacy laws define “consumer health data” broadly. It can include everyday information, such as a purchase from a fitness or wellness brand, if that information could be read as saying something about a person’s body. To be careful, we apply those laws’ rules to information about your purchase. That’s a privacy decision. It doesn’t change what the Mitzi Ring is or what it’s for.

Your purchase

Your order, and the name, email and shipping address that come with it. We use it to take payment, ship your kit and support you afterwards.

Anything you choose to tell us

Whatever you include in an email to us. We use it only to answer the question you asked. Please don't send medical information: we aren't a medical provider, and we don't need it.

We don’t collect consumer health data through analytics. Our analytics doesn’t connect the pages you read to you, and no third party collects consumer health data about you over time or across websites through our site.

From you, when you order or email us, and from Shopify, which keeps our order records.

We share consumer health data only with service providers that process it for us, under contract, to provide what you asked for. We have no affiliates.

Our email inbox. Receives what you tell us by email.

We never sell consumer health data, and we don’t use it for advertising, analytics or anything other than providing your kit or answering your question. If that ever changes, we’ll ask for your consent first, and you can withdraw it at any time.

You can ask us to:

• confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data
• give you access to it, including a list of everyone we’ve shared it with and how to contact them
• delete it. We’ll also tell the service providers we shared it with to delete it.
• withdraw any consent you’ve given us

Email hello@mitziring.com with “Health data request” in the subject line. We’ll confirm it’s you by matching the request to the email address on your order or sign-up, and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we’ll tell you why and take no more than 45 days more. Requests are free, up to twice a year.

If we turn down a request, reply to our answer to appeal, and we’ll respond within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you can contact the Washington Attorney General or the Nevada Attorney General.

When we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top. Before a material change takes effect, we’ll tell you by email or with a notice on the site, and we’ll ask for your consent before using consumer health data we already hold in a new way.
